Dr Kesavan

Biography

Dr Kesavan is a highly-skilled orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint replacements; he has expertise in joint replacements, complex surgeries of the hip and pelvis, and hips/pelvis with more than 22 years of experience. Currently, he works as an orthopedic surgeon (senior consultant) at Gleneagles Global Health City. He has unique expertise in complex hip and knee replacement surgery and fractures of the pelvis or acetabulum and other complex fractures. His experience is well-documented and cited by other orthopedic surgeons and his past and present patients. 

He also has an interest in congenital hip dysplasia (the development of the hip joint), and he has treated many children with these hip disorders. Dr Kesavan received his training in hip and knee replacement surgery and trauma surgery in Germany, Australia, and the United Kingdom (including computerized knee replacement). He completed additional training in pelvic and acetabular fractures in France and Switzerland.

He has authored or co-authored a significant amount of high-quality research articles related to Orthopaedics. He is frequently invited to many platforms to discuss issues pertaining to Revision Joint Replacement, Acetabular Fractures, and is regarded as an authority on these subjects. He has participated and contributed to an extensive range of meetings and conferences globally including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society, Emile Letournel Course, Intelligent Hip Surgery Course, etc. He is a member of Tamilnadu Orthopaedic Association, Indian Orthopaedic Association, Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society, and Association of Pelvi-Acetabular Surgeons.
