Dr. Pravas Chandra is currently a senior professor and key leader in the Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) program at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad (Delhi NCR), overseeing both adult and childhood blood disorders and transplants. He has around 17 years of experience after earning his DM in Clinical Hematology from AIIMS, New Delhi, and more than 25 years overall in medicine.
He earned his MBBS and MD in General Medicine from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Sevagram, Maharashtra, and completed his DM in Clinical Hematology from AIIMS, Delhi in 2005. After his DM, he served as faculty at AIIMS Delhi and became a Professor of Hematology there until 2017. In 2017, he moved to Max Super Speciality Hospital (Patparganj and Vaishali), where he established and led a major Blood and Marrow Transplant unit, performing many transplants, including matched unrelated and haploidentical types.
