Biography

At Manipal Hospitals on Old Airport Road in Bengaluru, Dr. S. Vidyadhara serves as Chairman, Head of Spine Surgery, and Consultant for Robotic Spine Surgery. His impressive qualifications have earned him recognition for his competence in both non-surgical and surgical treatments for back and neck pain. The degrees that Dr. Vidyadhara holds include MBBS, MS, DNB, FNB (Spine Surgery), and FHKU (Spine Surgery). He has looked for a number of affiliations and fellowships in order to further his knowledge and skills. His contributions to the field of spine surgical therapy have been significant.

Between 2017 and 2020, Dr. Vidyadhara served as both the SRS Newletter editor and chairman of the SRS USA communications committee. He currently works as an adjunct visiting professor at Manipal University's School of Medicine, where he teaches residents about spine surgery. Interestingly, he was the first Indian to serve as Chairman of the Communication Committee of the Scoliosis Research Society in the United States (2017–2020). Furthermore, in 2012, he became the first Indian to be awarded the esteemed Scoliosis Research Society Travelling Fellowship. The Orthopaedic Association and the International Society for the Study of Lumbar Spine (ISSLS) 2010 Best Research Award are only two of the several honours Dr. Vidyadhara has received for her work. His work has been published in the Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery, Journal of Spinal Disorders and Techniques, and Spine (Phila Pa 1976), among other esteemed magazines. His work has been recognised and cited by other academics, underscoring its significance and applicability.
