Biography
Dr. Shafiq Ahmed is a well-respected urologist, uro-oncologist, and robotic kidney transplant surgeon with over 18 years' experience. He has conducted more than 15,000 urological procedures and performs robotic kidney transplants as an experienced part of practice.
In the past, Dr. Ahmed has been based at some of India’s best hospitals and was instrumental in the setting up Renal Transplant Programmes and robotic kidney transplant services in some of the leading hospitals in Delhi/NCR. Dr. Ahmed is a fully credentialed robotic urologist and surgeon in the US. He is also a robotic genitourinary surgeon for adults and pediatric patients. He is also one of few surgeons in the world currently performing robotic kidney transplants.
Dr. Ahmed has published several articles in national and international medical journals and contributed lots of chapters on urological disease in several books. He has spoken and presented at various medical conferences. Dr. Ahmed has been a faculty speaker at urology training programs for medical students in India. As a prominent urologist, robotic surgeon and renal transplant surgeon, Dr. Ahmed has had significant impact in mentoring young surgeons in India.
