Biography
Dr. S.K.S Marya is the Chairman and Chief Surgeon of Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement at Max Smart Hospital, Saket, and Max Hospital, Gurgaon, where he has been engaged in Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery for over 38 years. His practice focuses on Joint Replacement Surgery of the upper and lower limb joints (Primary and Revision) and Trauma Management according to AO Principles.
Dr. Marya has performed over 20,000 joint replacements for knees, hips, shoulders, toes, and finger joints. He has published nine books and 94 papers internationally. He has served as the president of the Indian Orthopaedic Association, Indian Hip and Knee Society, Indian Arthroplasty Association, and ASIA. He is an honourable visiting Professor to five universities. Dr. S.K.S Marya has also received several prestigious awards, including the Bharat Jyoti Award (Glory of India Award), DMA Distinguish Services Award, Haryana Vigyan Ratna, Praman Patra from the Punjab Government, and BN Sinha Meritorious Award.
Dr. S.K.S Marya earned his M.B.B.S from PGI Rohtak and M.S. (Orth) from PGI, Chandigarh where he graduated with honours, after that he pursued MCh (Orth) and FRCS from the UK. He was subsequently awarded D.Sc. (Honoris Causa) by Amity University.
