Overview of Hematology

Hematology is the specialized branch of medicine and biology dedicated to studying blood, blood-forming tissues (bone marrow), and related disorders. It focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions like anemia, blood cancers (leukemia, lymphoma), coagulation issues (hemophilia), and infections. Hematologists, often working with pathologists, manage these diseases through blood tests, biopsies, and, in some cases, stem cell transplantation.
