Biography
Dr. Bora graduated with his MBBS at JLN Medical College, Ajman, and went on to graduate with his MS in General Surgery at the same school.
He then pursued his training as a Senior Resident in GI Surgery at the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow, then an MCh in HPB & Gastrointestinal Surgery at G.B. Pant Hospital, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, where he completed his surgical training in three years.
He is a pioneering member of Liver Transplant Society of India and is considered to be the best in robotics and laparoscopic liver surgery. Popularly known to be one of the best liver transplant surgeons in Gurgaon, Delhi NCR, Dr. Bora has contributed a lot towards the establishment of liver transplant in India and especially in Rajasthan. He was instrumental in building one of the most developed liver units in India, after joining Artemis Hospital in Gurgaon in 2016.
At present, Dept of Minimal Access HPB Surgery and liver Transplant, Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon, India, is the only liver unit in the nation to offer both Pure laparoscopic and Pure Robotic Liver donor Surgery. The Unit has experience on performing liver transplantation on small babies and presently it serves over 20 countries across the world. Artemis Department of Liver Surgery has done Liver transplant through complex ( right anterior and mono-segment) Liver grafts, a surgical accomplishment possible by some of the few liver units in the world.
The department has earned international acclaim in carrying out liver transplantation procedures with selective grafts such as right posterior grafts and monosegment liver grafts, a surgical feat that has been accomplished by very few liver units across the world.
This is a highly specialised unit known for its expertise in managing complex liver, pancreas, and bile duct surgeries. The liver unit in Artemis hospital has advanced TIPS, TARE, TACE, angiographic embolisation, and complex interventional procedure, which is providing complete care in the treatment of benign and malignant liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and bile duct.
Dr. Bora has also spoken at prestigious conferences around the world, such as the International Liver Transplant Society (ILTS) meeting in San Francisco (2012) and Sydney (2013). His research and publications are comprehensive, further establishing him as one of the finest liver transplant surgeons in Gurgaon, Delhi NCR.
