Biography
The Chairperson is Dr. Surendra Nath Khanna and he practises as the Adult Cardiac Surgery and Heart - Lung Transplant at Artemis Hospital, Gurugram, India. His specialty is adult cardiac surgery of all varieties. His chase after the best in the field of cardiac surgery to India and within the reach of ordinary man is relentless. He graduated in King George Medical College, Lucknow. Upon getting his MS (Gen. Surgery) he received cardiac surgery training in King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai; Christian Medical College, Vellore.
Then he travelled to foreign lands, where he served his apprenticeship with Prof. Ottavio Alfieri, who was internationally recognized as the pioneering heart valve surgeon. Dr. Surendra Nath Khanna has practised cardiac surgery during the past 34 years. He has performed over 21000 Cardiac surgeries.
He has served as cardiac surgeon in several reputable hospitals including San Raffaele Hospital, Milan, Italy, where he worked under Prof. Ottavio Alfieri, a highly renowned cardiac surgeon with pioneering methods of valve repair and valve surgery in severe left ventricular dysfunction. He has collaborated with luminaries such as Prof. Stanley John.
