Biography
In 2014, Dr. Sanyal opened the Bone Marrow Relocation Program at Fortis Emergency Hospital in Mulund, where he has already been successful with over 90 patients' cases.
Dr. Sanyal heads the Fortis Institute of Blood Disorders (FIBD), which is composed of several hematologists who specialize in blood disorders, and he manages a very well-trained, dedicated nursing staff who work within the very busy inpatient and outpatient facilities at Fortis Hospital (Mulund).
Dr. Sanyal has over 15 years of experience diagnosing and treating patients who have hematologic disorders and malignancies (acute leukemias, chronic leukemias, myelomas, and lymphomas) as well as Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes (Aplastic Anemia and Myelodysplastic Syndrome).
Dr. Sanyal is very experienced in the Management of Hemoglobinopathies (e.g. Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Anemia) including prenatal diagnosis and genetic counseling. Additionally, he has an extreme interest in Obstetric Hematology and Thrombosis disorders.
