Biography
Dr. Vikram Raut is a respected General Surgeon at Apollo Hospital in Navi Mumbai. With 21 years of experience, he’s worked in several cities across India, building a strong reputation in the field.
He’s tackled all kinds of complex medical cases, always focusing on getting the diagnosis right and treating his patients with real empathy. People know him for that.
Dr. Raut’s main interests include ABO-incompatible liver transplants, small-for-size syndrome, living donor liver transplants for hepatocellular carcinoma, and both laparoscopic and robotic liver surgery. He’s also an active member of the International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS).
He earned his MS in General Surgery from TNMC and BYL Charitable Hospital back in 2009, then went on to complete a fellowship in HPB and liver transplantation at Kyoto University in 2010. Along the way, he’s published plenty of research papers and taken part in workshops and other research in the General Surgery department.
