Dr. Vaid completed his MBBS and MD (Internal Medicine) from the University of Jammu and subsequently earned a DM in Medical Oncology from Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai. He is a recipient of the Padma Shri, one of the highest awards in the country, which he received in 2009 for his services to medicine.
