About Hospital
The legendary healthcare facility of Mumbai, Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital, blessed by Mahatma Gandhi and opened in 1950 by India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, is now rechristened as Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital.
Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital has remained at the centre of healthcare for 70 years. Today the 350 Beds complex with 55 speciality departments provides a wide range of services in virtually every area of contemporary medicine and health care. One of more than 10,000 square feet in size hospital high-tech imaging center, it come with three Tesla 32 channel wide bore magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners that are equipped with both high-intensity focused ultrasound and 64 slice Positron Emission Tomography-Computerized Tomography (PET CT) with cardiac capability as well as MR guided focused ultrasound surgery (MRgFUS).
